Yep not to mention it’s a contradiction that he’s omniscient yet he still has to test people.
I will laugh my azz off if someone starts claiming god doesn’t do any of those things when he specifically says it himself in Isaiah 45:7. lol

Not in my beliefs
1) Natural disasters are just that, natural disasters.
2) God may or may not have a plan for us specifically, it is unknown
3) My beliefs don’t hold an eternity of punishment; the afterlife is an unknown. We should focus on this life
edit: Though I know you were not talking about my beliefs in particular, the question itself poses it to most if not all people open to the possibilities or beliefs in a god. Thus, I answered it accordingly to how it was worded.
Also, because of your wording, I can conclude that you were probably very dishonest in your question by later putting in additional details “Funnier than I thought”. I highly doubt your sincerity in this question.
So let me get this straight… Natural disasters, war, famine, disease, whatever bad happens in life, all these are tests of our faith, yes?
no
But also god has a “plan” for us, yes? yes
So… god knows what will happen, yet provides tests along the way to make sure we are strong enough to follow through with his plan. But if we don’t pass his tests and carry out his plan, we end up being tortured for eternity? no
we go to hell because we did not call on jesus to save us
romans 10:9-10
Where? I can’t see one!
God is never wrong. So you’d best do what God requires.
No. There are three kingdoms of Heaven. Celestial, Terrestial, and Telestial. (in order from highest to lowest)
Yes, this is all nonsense.
We born in this planet because we are sinful. Here we can enjoy and suffer. Mostly suffer, as birth and death are suffering already.
WEhen we die, if we are vegetarian and done loads of charity work, we go to Heaven, otherwise we go to Hell. But in both case, after a while, we return to born in this planet and again pay and create more karma, that eventually will take us up or down again, after death.
The main point is to get out of this circle of birth and death.
We don’t want to born in this planet anymore, we don’t want to pass a ‘holiday’ in Hell or Heaven. We want to live eternally and happy. We want to live with God, and He, Lord Krishna, lives in Goloka, the spiritual world.
There is 3 Yoga that can help us to achieve this goal: Karma, Jnana and Bhakti Yoga :

nope! people just need a reason to explain all of the good and bad things that happen in their and others lives, and also need comfort when a loved one dies… so for ages we have been looking to a ‘higher power’ as a way to give us hope when we are going through difficult situations. Its a kind of psychological defense mechanism. There is a chance (as there is with everything) that there is some sort of higher power… but there is no solid evidence or proof from recent times. Ancient evidence is constantly found that supports various religions; but when you do not know exact events it is really all based on speculation.
God made the world perfect. It was supposed to be a place God and mankind shared. Man disobeyed God, though. Because of this, all of us were separated from God. Not only were people effected, but all of creation now suffers. All bad things come as a result of sin. Earth itself groans and looks forward to a better time. Jesus’s sacrifice made a way for salvation for people’s souls, but His work is still in progress. One day, He will make all creation new. You can be a part of this and even start now if you accept His free gift to exchange your sins (all you’ve done wrong or did not do right) for His perfection. Ask Him to forgive you and live in His way. He loves you, and His plan is best.
You thoughts are understandable…. IF you perceive your role is just to be a pawn in some cosmic game of chess or plan to build an empire. That would be a vicious god.
However, let me ask this…. What if God’s plan is to facilitate the spiritual evolution of his creation? What if all of this…. Life itself…. What if the point is to grow something wonderful? Evolution of any kind requires challenges (“tests”) to promote growth, adaptation, “evolution”.
And if we take our individual, arrogant ego out of the concept…. We can realize that we are a part of a greater journey.
Don’t get me wrong…. It sometimes sucks for us as an individual when we are the one experiencing the “tests”. But we as a person can grow stronger and learn a lesson that we can pass on to the next generation.
This is not a Biblical teaching. James 1:13 says: “When under trial, let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God can not be tried nor does he himself try anyone.’” So God is never the source of the wickedness you see in the world around you. (See Job 34:10-12) Granted, he does allow bad things to happen. But there is a big difference between allowing something to happen and causing it.
Also, the Bible never speaks about God having a “plan” for us but he has a purpose for mankind and the earth. What’s the difference? Plans are usually structured with little to no flexibility. However, a purpose has flexability. For example, suppose you are traveling from point A to point B and have mapped out a route or “plan” to reach your destination. Suppose your route is blocked, then what? On the other hand when difficulties arise you can change to any route to reach your purpose.
All that Jehovah require of us is to love him with our whole being obey his Son Christ Jesus and he himself “will make our path straight.” Meaning he will work in our behf to ensure we are apart of his grand purpose.
No, more accurately, the world that we presently live in is one of OUR own making after we ushered in sin and death in the beginning. God gave us over to our disobedience, after our own desires, and therefore we now “lie in the bed we have made”. All of this is in the first 3 chapters of Genesis. So to summarize the devil and man have been given dominion over the earth for a time. Having said that GOD doesn’t necessarily “make” disasters happen. He knows they will happen and does nothing to stop them, he knows that Satan will try and make us believe in lies, (translation: in anything but God) and let’s the devil have his way to a certain extent for now. But what we also don’t think about is that God is also the only thing holding the devil, and mans, full manifestation of evil. Satan would kill us ALL, every single last man, woman, and child(John 8:44) if God allowed it. He hates God, he hates us, knows that God loves us so his mission is to make sure as few of us as possible are redeemed and will be with God eteranlly. Satan won’t be, and he hates God, and the saved children of God for that reason.
Secondly, you obviously are aware of God’s warning and the reason for Christ’s sacrifice and you would still blame God if you didn’t choose to repent and place your faith in Christ? You don’t need to “pass” any “tests”. He tests his children yes, but to purify us and to refine us, but many of these tests are simply trying times that we all (saved and unsaved alike) go through. The difference is simply our source of strength, hope, and peace. Jesus told us “except ye repent ye shall ALL likewise perish”. He’s warned you, so what are you complaining about if you choose a different path? Paul writes in Romans 3:23, “For ALL are sinners and come short of the glory of God”. and that “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”(Romans 6:23). This could not be clearer. God’s plan was, is and always will be to provide a redeeming saviour for ever single human being that ever was, is and will be. Anyone who has placed their complete faith in Christ knows that a mere hurricane can’t take that away from them and that they have eternal life to look forward to regardless of what happens to them here on earth. That is the sourse of the follower of Christ’s hope and peace.
All that is required is that you “confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, THOU SHALT BE SAVED (Romans 10:9).
No tests to pass, there is no failing grade, because none of us is good enough, no not one. You choose your own destiny, heaven or hell. If you die tomorrow but saved, heaven can’t be taken from you. If you die tomorrow and unsaved, your chance at heaven is gone forever and hell is an assured destination. Which would you prefer? “Now is the accepted time, behold NOW is the day of salvation”(2 Cor 6:2)
Well Kid, you blew it. You didn’t get it straight after all. Natural disasters
are things that occur naturally. Wars are started by man. Famine, disease
and whatever bad happens in life are caused by the fall of man through
the deception of the evil one, Satan. Don’t leave him out of your scenario.
He’s the one that took dominion over the earth after Adams’ failure.
True God does have a plan for each of us and he knows in advance who
is willing to carry it out or not. The plan is there but the choice is ours.
Any tests that we have in life are for our benefit. When you took a test in
school it wasn’t for the teachers’ benefit but for yours; to let you know
where you stood. Do you know the subject or do you need more help.
Jesus Christ dying for your sins was not a test and the simple act of
not accepting his sacrifice for you is the only thing that will ruin your
eternity. If you think your eternal destiny is a game, you’ll be the one
that’s sick, not any game.
Thats a very good question. MAny people feel that god caused these things to test our faith but according to the bible when adam and eve sinned at geneses 3:15 they essentially seperated themselves from mankind, removing themselves from Gods protection. They basically were saying we don’t need you we can do this on our own. The cause is evident at jerimiah 10:23 man cannot direct his own step. Many wonder why God didn’t simply destroy adam and eve along with the serpent(satan) but if he did that wouldn’t have proved anything, actually it would have raised many doubts. By allowing mankind to rule themselves for a while it will be proven once and for all that life under Gods rule is more advantageous.
But jehovah God has a plan to rectify matters he will soon set up his kingdom found at Daniel 2:44 and the conditions ther will be like Eden rev 21:3,4 and psalms 37:10,37
Also hell isn’t a fiery place of torment in actuallity it simply means the common grave it is taken from the word sheol or hades. Romans 6:23 says that the wages sin pays is death not torture
